friend - describe it!
I have been thinking of description of a friend, here one that one of my friends, Daren gave me :
A friend is someone we turn to when our spirits need a lift.
A friend is someone we treasure for our friendship is a gift.
A friend is someone who fills our lives with beauty, joy, and grace.
And makes the whole world we live in a better and happier place.

It crossed my mind. Coz im talking with old friend of mine, Jack. It’s weird, but he happens to be there when I am in not too good mood. Maybe, because he’s reachable then I have bad mood? Haha, kidding Jack. But serious, when you are there, it’s always the time I need the cheers and special lift for spirit =p. The talk did work - such a relief. Let’s call it unlucky of you always meeting me in the ‘down’. Not saying you had great feeling, but it’s always the case. Thanks!! But, i do feel bad. Hope i can have a chance to play that friend role when it’s needed.

You mean Jack from 2-A? Funny, yesterday I was talking with Dinda and she also recalled Jack giving her some words of wisdom:
Don’t despise the one you used to love, because whatever you did for him at the time, you did it with all your heart.
Maybe he has a knack for cheering up people…

BTW I want to give my definition of a friend:
Someone with whom we can truly be ourselves and share our feelings and thoughts freely.
It’s like a touch of sincerity and freedom in this pretentious and prohibitive world…

Friend…can be a true friend, known as “sahabat” in Indonesia ..or can be an artificial friend, we called as “teman” in Indonesian..I think the descriptions you gave in the post is for a true friend. For me, a friend is someone that I talked to and I do not consider as an enemy.
